Christmas - 124 days away!
Christmas Stockings. Need 'em. NOW!
We've only got 124 more days to make these wonderful heirlooms.
I'm making one for a baby, a mommy and a daddy! This is the stocking for a wee Baby - cute monogrammed "B" - ever so easy in a moss stitch - and in a chunky weight that means it will be done by dinner. As long as someone else makes dinner ...
AND ... something about a partridge in a pear tree? Yup. Stay tuned. Going to be as cute as a bug in a rug!

Yarn Tasting!
Summer's a little quieter ... kinda good ... gives me time to think. And brainstorm with my friend Tina.
So. Do i have an idea for you folks!!!!!
Yarn Tasting!
We are bringing in some lovely, delightful high end yarn, which name rhymes with Handmaiden. Okay, the name IS Handmaiden, from Fleece Artist.
This is a new line for us in the shop, but like you, we have loved it for years. However, we want to introduce you to it here, at On The Lamb.
And we want to entice those who have not met Handmaiden yet, into the wonderfully decadent world of luxury yarn.
So. We're doing a YARN TASTING! (Well, why not, i say!)
This will be a limited number of folks and we will do a wee wine tasting of sorts too. (well, we will have wine and we will taste it. Right?)
Let me know your thoughts - i think we will have a ball and it's a great way to introduce you to this lovely yarn at no cost to yourself!
Hmmm? Intrigued? Just waiting for the shipment and we'll set a date.
T'will be evening to give our sisters in the work force a chance to join us
Fun, eh?

Do you know ...
It's only 174 more days until Christmas?
That's 174 more days to plan your Christmas knitting and decide who you will honour with your special handmade gift from the heart.
174 more days to buy your supplies and add to your stash because you have decided that ALL will benefit from the heartfelt gift of knitting.
Oh, wait. Back to On The Lamb because you need one more pair of needles.
Replan and restart. (only 174 more days.)
Oh wait.
Next size up.
Rip out, restart.
Now. Knit in earnest because it's only 174 more days.
It's really not a lot of time, is it?
Aren't you glad you have me to remind you?
(i think it's 173 more days now.)

Happy Canada Day!
it's time for beer, and wine, and burgers and hotdogs. And sitting in the sun and not forgetting the sunscreen, and putting your feet up. And sinking into your most comfy lawn chair, in the shade, and ignoring your book 'cause you just really need to relax for a minute. And not thinking about work, or chores or elaborate meals. You need to recharge, reboot, relax.
You can knit tomorrow.
