ooooooooo!

Had a day off yesterday.

Cast on for a sherpa hat. After 2" i discovered i'd twisted the stitches while joining in the round. Ripped it out.

Cast on for a simple scarf - carrying 2 strands. Discovered that i'd dropped one of the strands close to the cast on row and was now about 6" on. Ripped it out.

Waste of a day off!

Just thought you'd like to know that you're not the only one behind in Christmas knitting!

Christmas Is Coming!

We're coming down to the wire - 9 more days till the big guy comes ... but On The Lamb is well stocked with wonderful yarns for your last minute gifts. You've got enough time to whip up a pair of socks! Or the very Beautiful Baby Alpaca Shrug (I'm on my 4th - sssshhhhhh) Scarves are immensly popular and quick to do. Fingerless gloves or a Cowl - very hot this time of year. Not sure you want to knit? How about one of our cutie patootie tea pots in whimsical designs? And speaking of tea - i think it's time.

Really stuck? You can always get a gift certificate - perfect fit every time!

Or, Hey! Do like i do. Wrap up the wool, pattern and needles with an IOU for the finished project in the new year! (not even kidding. Sorry mom, Jacqueline, Lindsay and Taryn!)

All the shops in the Tin Mill are bursting at the seams with alternate gifts, and the downtown of Uxbridge is a beaut!! Drive by in the evening when the lights are on the trees and the shop windows are dressed to the nines! Oh, and if Rutledge's clock chimes and the Library Tower's bell's play "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" - well, it's just like a Norman Rockwell painting!

I hope i see you all before Christmas - but if not - have a very very happy one!

.... and it's so lush, you'll want to roll in it!

What could be that lush? We have Recycled Himilayian Sari Silk and Sari Ribbon again. The colours are rich and gorgeous and the texture is going to make a scarf very happy. Or the collar of a jacket and maybe the cuffs! Or an evening bag. I've even seen it done up real swell with mohair in a sweater. Quantities are limited folks, gett'em while they're here!

Also, ever so lush and plus h is Colinette Iona - 70% wool, 15% silk and 15% kid mohair
- oooooo, so soft. And the ball band has a hat pattern on it! Free! (but if that hat is too big, i have another pattern just perfect for ladies!) And so i took a picture of me with the hat on - not so pretty. Don't look at the face, avert your eyes. Just look at the hat!

And just because, here's a picture of our (finally) finished fireplace with the ever so cute t-
pots on the mantle.
