Cast on for a sherpa hat. After 2" i discovered i'd twisted the stitches while joining in the round. Ripped it out.
Cast on for a simple scarf - carrying 2 strands. Discovered that i'd dropped one of the strands close to the cast on row and was now about 6" on. Ripped it out.
Waste of a day off!
Just thought you'd like to know that you're not the only one behind in Christmas knitting!

A day off...what's that! Maybe after...just keep knitting you'll get it right some day. I ripped back 2 rows on a pair of mitts only to discover I hadn't made a mistake at all!
